Summary: I bought this phone for my small business. Didn't work. Battery cannot hold charge for a whole business day. Operation is complicated. To use the intercom feature you have to press up to 6 buttons to get connected to another extension. DECT 6.0 is NOT better than my old 5.8 Mhz Panasonic or Uniden.
Summary: I purchased this phone in Oct 2008. When it works it's a good phone for the price. It had the features I needed. One of the main features that other phones don't have is the ability to lock the keypad. Great for carrying in the pocket without making extraneous calls. The problem is with the quality. The screen started blanking out in April of 09 and at that time I got a warranty replacement. Now, in May of 2010, the phone has started to shut down and restart at random.
Summary: When I purchased this item I was looking for an inexpensive two-line DECT phone. At first the unit worked OK, the buttons had a hollow feel to them and the certain features like address look-up were very slow. After only a few days the handset display became inoperative, showing only rectangular blocks and no text. Removing the batteries did not reset the handset, and Philips technical support were unable help.
Summary: I decided not to return the phone. Opened the box, plugged in one line and saw the batteries were rated 600mah. I love Philips phones. I have another dual handset and it works great and really has nice sound, 200 entry phonebook and clear full-duplex speaker phone. So I ordered this one. The price was attractive for a two line phone. Still giving it 5 stars because of Philips quality. I may order it again and replace the batteries with higher capacity.
Summary: This is a very good 2 line phone at a reasonable price but additional handsets are overpriced compared to the cost of this one. It has plenty of volume on the handset as well as the headset jack (something most cordless phones don't have anymore). I would buy it again.
Summary: This phone is OK at best. Sounds quality is not the best. The delayed key tones are annoying. The ring tone is not loud. It looks cool and is of good quality construction. Too many screens to get to answering machine. Not the easiest to use. I had an AT&T 2 line phone that worked very well for 8 years. I may go back to AT&T or another phone. I paid $50 for the Philips. Most 2 line cordless answering machine phones are $100-$200.
Summary: Like many other reviewers, I bought this phone based on it's features and Philips' reputation for quality products. I've purchased many other Philips product and I'm generally pleased with the value for the dollar. That said, I feel this phone is a great deal at it's current price. Suggested retail price is too high given it's good, not excellent, sound quality. Mind you, I'm coming from a Uniden PwerMax 5.8 GHz phone.
Summary: I bought this phone because it can accommodate two lines - and it does. That is the end of anything good about it. The sound quality is poor. I hear static & voices sound like they are in a wind tunnel. Everytime there is a call, a red blinking light appears and has to be turned off manually. The directions that come with the phone do not cover some of the basic functions and despite having paid over $80 for this phone, I am looking for one to replace it.
Summary: In the past 12 years, I have used 2 different cordless 2-line phones for use in my home office. Eventually, the phones will no longer hold a charge even when batteries are replace so I have to replace them about every 5 years. After researching phones that are available, I purchased this Philips Dect 6.0 2-line cordless phone. I absolutely love it. It is light weight, attractive, and compact so it does not take up a lot of space on my desk.
Summary: I use a land line and OOMA (VOIP/internet service) and absolutely enjoy this phone. The older 5.8 GHz have interference and the batteries don't last long. This Philips 6.0 Dect phone uses easy to find and easy to replace AAA rechargeable batteries (how convenient). The unit is light and has a wonderful color screen. The contact list transfers to each phone. The setup was easy and the sound quality when using either phone service is great.
