Summary: The phone looks very cool but 2 major problems cause me to wish I had not purchased the phone. I am on my 4th set of rechargeable batteries in less than one year. They continue to die for whatever reason and it is not the batteries because I use them in other appliances with no issue. Secondly, the call waiting does not show the number that is calling, which is very aggravating. I have searched through the manual to no avail.
Summary: Philips CD4452B/37 Twin 1-Line Cordless PhoneI purchased this phone set (came with 4 handsets) January 2008 to replace a really old panasonic set that was good (5.8 mhz). I heard so many good things about dect 6.0.It has been the worst experience ever. I followed the instructions very carefully and charged the phone for 24 hours straight (which by the way shouldn't need to as it uses NMh batteries which don't have a memory effect).
Summary: I am very disappointed in this machine and all it has to offer. The batteries do not charge properly and the caller ID is pretty poor. The only thing that is good on this is the sound quality. Don't waste your money.
Summary: We purchased this as our first house phone. It cost around £50 and hasn't let us down yet. It comes as a main base unit with phone and built in answering machine and a second separate phone with its own charging station. The second phone only requires a power socket, not a second telephone socket so it can be put anywhere. The phones have very clear screens which display the time and date and are backlit so you can see what you're doing in the dark.
Pros: Lots of features, clear speaker, useful backlight
Cons: Not a great choice of ringtones, very posh answeing machine lady
