Summary: I bought the Panasonic 5 handset system to replace my collection of old phones and to link my cell phone to the home phones - no need to carry around a smartphone at home. I plugged the base unit into my new Ooma Telo and the combination is fantastic. Menus and call blocking are a little clunky on the handsets, and blocking is unnecessary I've found if you do it on Ooma.
Summary: Have only had them for a few weeks but so far, so good. The biggest reason we got a new set of phones was because we could not be near the computer or microwave with our other phones because of interference. These are great with no interference. The sound is good and the volume is loud enough. Have not synced our cell phones yet so I can't say how that aspect works. No problem whatsoever with the batteries.
Summary: The phone system works in all aspects except one. The phone feature that does not work is the voice mail alert light. This is the light that is supposed to to flash when a voice mail is received. It does not work on this phone. Interestingly, Panasonic's people on their help line will tell you that this feature only works when you don't have voice mail through someone like comcast. However, the directions clearly point out that it does.
Summary: Still love Panasonic phones. The wall mount things is just a total lack of common sense on behalf of the designers.
Pros: Lots of handsets, great sound, big screen, uses standard rechargeable batteries.
Cons: Just one: the wall mount for the base unit is basically useless unless you're more than six-foot tall. The base unit is excellent for setting on a desk, but when wall-mounted is almost useless, and that's how I want it set up. I'm 5'11" and I can't read the number of messages display without standing tip-toe right in front of the machine. Unless your wall jacks are below the standard five feet off the floor.
Summary: I had an earlier phone set from Panasonic and liked the handsets much more than these. The screens are not visually pleasing and the menus are not as intuitive as the earlier model. That being said these work very well and I like that the batteries are ones you can easily replace and are less expensive. The ability to answer my cell phone from wherever one of the 5 handsets is great.
Summary: If you are like me and seem to be in the wrong room, perhaps doing something that you can't just stop and go to another room in time to answer the phone. This is the right phone. Very clear sounding, has a light on the top of the phones that blinks when the phone rings. You can also connect with your cell phone and Bluetooth.
Summary: I purchased this phone to replace an older Panasonic phone. The new technology in this phone is "off the hook". I love the fact that my cell phone rings through the phone and I can answer calls anywhere in the house even if my cell is charging in the bedroom. It was easy to set up and get started. All my contacts are in the new phone from my cell so I can simply dial directly from the new phone. I also love the lighted keypad for night use.
