Pros: I've got the version of these handsets that include 5. This phone system is truly amazing. I tested it in the United States as well as out of the country when I traveled. I tested first in a 1500 square foot, 2 story home being able to talk all the way on the other side with absolutely no problem...
Summary: I wish the back light would be configurable so that you could set it so that it would stay on when the phone was in the cradle. But that's really a nitpick. Another nitpick, I almost wish the handset was a little larger.
Pros: Uses AA rechargeable batteries 1.9 GHz so it doesn't interfere with the wireless router Ringer can be turned off Very well thought out feature set Doesn't have an answering machine which I didn't want (there is a version that does if you do want it that way)
Proprietary DECT - Incompatible with other devices
18 January 2012
Summary: JTAG pads on the PCB, dcx79 chipset is supposed to be ARM-based. What are we waiting for?!
Pros: Large back-lit LCD, large keys, uses standard AAA NiMH batts
Cons: Not compatible with other DECT 6.0 phones (i.e. not GAP compatible), so don't plan on using your existing phones with this base, or the other way around. Panasonic provides no documentation about this. In fact, the EU version of this phone advertises this compatibility, yet the US version cannot ...
Summary: These are great for the pricee and anyone that doesn't mind slightly below par sound or the fact there is no Talking Caller ID should be happy with them. These are not for people who abuse there phones and expect them to last.
Pros: For what is paid these are great little phones. Everything works as well as to be expected for the price, actually quite a bit better than other phones at this cost. Runs on easily replacable NI-MH AAA batteries. Display is very easy to read, great for older people.
Cons: Minor issues are to be expected when buying a product at low cost this is no different but there isn't much to suffer. Actualy there are only a few issues. The first The plastic (although sturdy enough) feels a bit cheap. The second is th sound quality doesn't sound as full and rich with sound li...
Cons: After a month or so, started to make an interference noise, that was imposible to have a combersation. As of today, i'll be sanding it back to Panasonic, the problem is that the company is located in Texas and i have to pay for shipping. Nice, isn't it?
Summary: Reading my review you might wonder why I didn't just buy another AT&T phone, the answer is I did but the new one constantly dropped calls, they don't make them like they used to, this one holds the calls so in that respect I'm happier than with the first replacement.
Pros: Good range. Uses a standard battery which is a big plus.
Cons: I bought these to replace a great AT&T phone that died after many years. This phone has a much cheaper feel to it. The LCD is very low resolution and the sound quality is poorer although it's usable. The user interface is also poor, accessing the directory requires pressing two buttons, the AT&T ...
Summary: I had a Panasonic phone several years ago and it worked great until the battery pack needed to be replaced and it took a lot of searching to find the replacement. One of the several options this phone has is the call blocking option.
Pros: I purchased this phone as a replacement for a uniden phone which only lasted a year. The main reason for choosing this phone was because they use rechargeable AAA batteries you can purchase anywhere batteries are sold, unlike other phones that require a special battery pack that after the phone i...
Cons: None, other than I wish they had this phone model a year ago.
