Pros: Bought this when it was less than $90 with free shipping, first off, these phones uses regular rechargeable Nimh AAA batteries, no more going from store to store try to find the specific battery, battery meter on display so you can see when it needs to be charge, base unit is only one that needs to be plug into with the phone cord, phone will announce who is calling so you don't have to answer those telemarketers if you have caller ID, silent mode let you set certain ...
Pros: The verbal announcement of caller ID is both highly useful and frequently amusing. You can change the Voice Caller ID announcement of the caller ID name to announce your own programmed address-book name. The call block feature is also excellent and easy to use. The range and clarity are great with virtually no interference. We often use a handset in the back yard. The availability of the answering machine from any handset is quite convenient. Battery life is excellent...
Pros: Sound quality and range is great. We cna use them all over the house and they sound great. The other cordless phones we have don't work near as well. The intercom feature is great; no more yelling up and down the stairs. The phones are sturdy and have good weight. Uses AA rechargables, not some special battery. Battery life is good but we do tend to keep the on the charger all the time and have had them only a week. Call ID announce is great to have.
Cons: Would be nice to be able to label the intercom stations on the menus; ie: Instead of 1, 2 ,3 etc.. have 1. Bedroom, 2. Kitchen, 3. Family room, etc... Wish they had a set with 6 phones in it. I could only find a 5 phone set and I am seriously considering buying the extra handset. Call ID announce usually comes on the 3rd ring.
Summary: The pronunciation of some callers' names are a bit strange (but you get used to it). The phone directory only allows 50 numbers. With home and cell phone numbers for friends and family, 50 numbers is hardly sufficient. Many of the caller-IDs show up only as state names, however, I presume that is how the caller-ID for these organizations set them up.
Pros: These phones are great. Their clarity is as good as any phone that I have ever had. Easy to use and easy to program.
Cons: The phones answering machine does not show how many calls are on the answering maching. When you press the play button, the first thing it tells you is the number of calls are in memory.
