Poorly Designed

Catherine C., Newegg
4 January 2012
  • Summary: The most annoying thing about this system is the menu navigation. It only comes with an up and down arrow which makes it much more difficult to enter phone book entries. Also, instead of having a button for caller ID list like on a Uniden you have to go thru the menu to select "caller list". If you miss a call it has this large distracting message on the screen until you check the caller list.
  • Pros: -5 handsets
  • Cons: -handsets can not have unique banner names (terrible for intercom)

Great set for any price

Kerry K., Newegg
11 March 2011
  • Summary: as usual, great service from newegg in arrived in two days!
  • Pros: Bought this when it was less than $90 with free shipping, first off, these phones uses regular rechargeable Nimh AAA batteries, no more going from store to store try to find the specific battery, battery meter on display so you can see when it needs to be charge, base unit is only one that needs to be plug into with the phone cord, phone will announce who is calling so you don't have to answer those telemarketers if you have caller ID, silent mode let you set certain ...

Better Feature-Set than the others

Ray P., Newegg
22 October 2010
  • Summary: I've had two other Panasonic cordless phones over the years before these. The oldest was from the 1990's and the last one I bought was a 900 Mhz model. Had good experience and life from both, and I was still using the 900 Mhz phone. Recently, I've had a problem with some solicitor (apparently exempt from the Federal Do-Not-Call law) calling the house phone 3 to 5 times a DAY, 6 days a week.
  • Pros: Range, features, clarity, uses AAA batteries
  • Cons: Can ONLY use NiMh batteries.

  • Cons: None.

Excellent Product! Unified Phone Book!

Scott S., Newegg
10 April 2010
  • Summary: There is a mute button. Whoever wrote the other review didn't know what he was talking about. It appears on the LCD as the third button after you start dialing. Unlike previous models, changing the volume of the device does not toggle mute. Mute stays on until you turn it off!
  • Pros: Excellent product. Good price for 5 phones. Digital answering machine. White backlit display and orange blacklit keypad. Large screen.
  • Cons: Not free? Seriously, you can't beat the value for this price.

Excellent value!

30 March 2010
  • Summary: Ten months of ownership, no sign of battery decay, all the buttons still work, and the Voice Caller ID never gets old.
  • Pros: The verbal announcement of caller ID is both highly useful and frequently amusing. You can change the Voice Caller ID announcement of the caller ID name to announce your own programmed address-book name. The call block feature is also excellent and easy to use. The range and clarity are great with virtually no interference. We often use a handset in the back yard. The availability of the answering machine from any handset is quite convenient. Battery life is excellent...

Great phones

Robert J., Newegg
27 November 2009
  • Summary: An All-Call on the intercom would be nice.
  • Pros: Sound quality and range is great. We cna use them all over the house and they sound great. The other cordless phones we have don't work near as well. The intercom feature is great; no more yelling up and down the stairs. The phones are sturdy and have good weight. Uses AA rechargables, not some special battery. Battery life is good but we do tend to keep the on the charger all the time and have had them only a week. Call ID announce is great to have.
  • Cons: Would be nice to be able to label the intercom stations on the menus; ie: Instead of 1, 2 ,3 etc.. have 1. Bedroom, 2. Kitchen, 3. Family room, etc... Wish they had a set with 6 phones in it. I could only find a 5 phone set and I am seriously considering buying the extra handset. Call ID announce usually comes on the 3rd ring.

Talking Caller-ID is wonderful

Ronald B., Newegg
8 May 2009
  • Summary: The phones also show all calls that have been received as Missed Calls whether you answer them or not. This "call log" features allows you to go back and add them to your directory, block them or simply erase them from memory.
  • Pros: These phones are great. Their clarity is as good as any phone that I have ever had. Easy to use and easy to program.
  • Cons: The phones answering machine does not show how many calls are on the answering maching. When you press the play button, the first thing it tells you is the number of calls are in memory.

Excellent Phones!!!

Anonymous, Newegg
15 April 2009
  • Summary: Great price for this set, and would recommend them to everyone!
  • Pros: 5 total phones, and expandable to 6. For the price, this set cant be beat! Top quality from Panasonic (again). Lots of options. Programing is very easy. Excellent range and sound clarity! My favorite feature is the call blocking! The phones themselves can block any number that you want it to, and it can also block the calls that come in with no number, or (Out of Area, Private number, Private caller), which is a huge plus in my book! Great keypad layout, and big keys....
