Summary: i had read the pros and cons on this model before i purchased this from amazon...i had to decide if i were to buy it or not...i took a chance and bought it based on my considerable buying history with amazon...however, it turns out that some of the negative one's were accurate...the phone base, as i had read goes from inaudible to clear...at first i thought it was the person calling...then the base goes dead and you can not dial out...then it returns to normal..
Summary: I purchased this phone to block annoying telemarketing calls. I added the numbers and thought that was it, no more unnecessary ringtone noise. The way blocked calls work on this phone is that the phone still rings once, even though the number is blocked. This can get pretty hectic when multiple blocked callers call various times of the day. There is currently no way to set the phone so it immediately drops the call instead of letting it ring.
Summary: Corded/Cordless phones and an answering machine in one system...The best of 3 worlds but...alot of uneeded fluff. I'm the guy who likes manual crank windows and no ac, and an FM radio on his car.The less complicated the better. And less things to go wrong so I probably shouldn't have bought this setup. But I needed a system like this and the price was GREAT! So....
Summary: I bought this set because the batteries in my old cordless phones were no longer up to my usage requirements & replacements weren't available. (I'm a telecommuter and can be on conference calls up to 10 hours a day.) I chose the Panasonic KX-TG1062M partly because it uses regular rechargeable batteries.
Summary: This unit is short on features, but what it does it does well. It's a phone with answering maching and speaker and it has two portable handsets. That's about it. That's all I need. It has excellent range, even outside in my work shed, which is a cinderblock building. Distance from the base station in the house is about 100'. It has an intercom, which is very convenient, since I spend a lot of time in the aforementioned shed.
Summary: I bought this phone Model # KX-TG1062M as a replacement for my old work horse Phone Panasonic KX TG 2343. I was looking forward to use the phone feature of one phone line connected to the base unit and multiple handset to make calls. But the phone turned to be a major disappointment. I can receive calls, but can not make calls. First few days the phone worked fine, then the problems erupted. No dial tone in the handset but dial tone from the speaker.
Summary: Love this single line phone. I primarily purchased it due to the caller block feature. Sound is clear. I had no problem whatsoever setting it up. RINGTONES: The ringtones could be better but haven't found a corded/cordless phone yet whose ringtones I really liked. You have to use the ringtones alone that are in the phone unlike cell phones. POWER OUTAGE: The base will work, but the speaker phone function will not.
Summary: This phone system is fine in all ways, except the one that counts - sound. There is so much static that you can barely hear on it. I use my cell phone - because the reception is better than on this phone system. If I had not thrown away the box, I would have returned it.
Summary: This is a nice phone in many ways. I bought it to replace an AT&T speaker phone the I regularly sed with the external speaker and had no problems hearing. I found this Panasonic phone easy to program and it has a sleek look and feel, and good clarity. However, even when the speaker volume is at the highest setting you need to have your ear within four or five inches of the handset or desk console in order to hear comfortably.
Summary: The Comcast technician recommended this system to replace my old set of three telephones (including one cordless) when the 20-year old phone company wiring started to give me problems. The system has many more features than I need/use, but that's because I'm an old fashioned guy that just wanted a solid reliable phone system for my home-home/office. The base station is connected directly to the Comcast link...
