Summary: I know it's hard to find a 2-line cordless phone, but this one isn't it...move along. It seemed to me to have everything, and it pretty much does. My challenge has been the manufacturing quality. About 6 months after purchase, I noticed the LED screens starting to fail (cutting off the top of the words at first, then later turning everything into broken characters that look like some ancient unknown script). It didn't just happen on one handheld, but both..
Summary: I've had this phone for 20 months and have been disappointed in it's reliability. We have used 3 batteries for each handset in 20 month. Each battery has a useful life of about 6 months each before losing a charge in just a few minutes. Even with a new battery, a charge does not last but a couple hours before needing to be recharged. Calls are sometimes routed directly to the answering machine without first ringing the telephone.
Summary: This phone replaces my SD7561 which was a 2006 Moto phone. The answering machine on that phone stopped picking up, so I thought this phone would be compatible. Meaning, I thought I would be able to use the base unit with the satellite units I already have. I was wrong, even though this phone looks like the one that is compatible; this phone is actually a 2005 model that is a little bit bigger. It doesn't have all the functions of the SD7561.
Summary: 1.Battery has no life 2. "Strange clicking" (sounds like someone typing on a manual typewriter) sound when engaging phones dial tone, (this noise does go away after conversation starts) Phone lines also checked by my phone service vendor, the noise is from the phone, not the phone lines. In general I spent a lot of money for the base and expandable handsets, and the product has performed poorly to date.
Summary: I got this phone about a year ago, maybe a little more, after a decent search through other reviews. However, I was dissappointed once I got it home and working. Pros: - Setting up the additional sets is easy enough. - The phone works and you can easily adjust the ring tones. Cons: - If you talk at a normal tone the phone will drop out your voice. I had to talk directly into the mic and at a louder than normal voice.
Summary: I purchased this phone for home use. Overall I was very disappointed and ultimately sold it online for a 50% loss. The sound quality was terrible. The max volume was way too soft (I have good hearing too). The battery life was horrible (less than 1 hour on speakerphone). And finally, the range was not good. Would not recommend this phone to anyone.
Summary: Wonderful phone, motoralo is the only phone I prefer, this is the second one I have owned and will never go to another product. This phone has everything you would want in an cordless phone.I love having the caller ID on the phone as well as the base and the two line option works prefectly if you have two phones in your home or office.Must buy item
Summary: I have owned the MD781 and two standalone (MD71) handsets for almost two years. On the plus side, the handsets have a nice physical build quality and look & feel. On the minus side, the system has been plagued by both quality and durability issues as long as I've had it. Throughout the life of the phone, the base has periodically (every month or two) 'locked up' requiring a hard reset of the base (by unplugging the power supply) in order to associate the handsets again.
