Summary: I bought this product to replace an older Gigaset system that was zapped by an electrical storm. The appearance of the handset is excellent & it was simple to setup. Most of the older Gigaset phones connected to this newer box, apart from one unit for some unknown reason. It was not easy to connect the older phones & took between minutes & several hours.
Summary: If your SL910A base station is more than a few months old, new versions of the handset SL910H will not be fully compatible with the base station. The Firmware update program for the handsets that runs on the Mac system has not been updated for a long time and the manufacturers do not appear to be too concerned in giving functional parity. So not this is not a Mac compatible.
Summary: Besides the looks, everything else about this phone is awful. Interface is clunky and not at all intuitive, many functions and settings are difficult to find. Menus change mid-call, so if you dial a number and then choose the keypad because you want enter number for phone banking, suddenly the keypad will disappear. Worst of all it's shockingly slow, keypad response etc. I've got 2 of these and after 18 months I'm getting something else.
Summary: I have only had this item for two months and the telephone number for the help line doesn't function - i see I am beyond the thirty days to replace item. I have had a telephone engineer in who tells me the phone is fine but I need a replacement base unit! I dont know how I can get this if no help line number!! I have sent this back as was not working and received it later (7 days) and told it was working.
Summary: Very frustrated with this purchase. The phone does look good but 1) Holding the phone to your cheek whilst talking can cause it to dial other numbers by activating the touch screen display, it can also cause the backlight to turn off and on annoyingly. 2) It loses connection to the base a LOT, just from being in a room one away from the base. Very poor. 3) It is difficult to get it to hang up properly and be sure it is.
Summary: Very disappointed with, what is, probably the most expensive handset for home use. We bought 3 handsets, the touchscreens progressively became less responsive, more like the old pressure based rather than capacitive, eventually too much pressure was applied and 2 of the screens are now cracked. Waiting to hear from supplier about replacements under warranty. I will now buy an adapter so that we can use our iPhones as home handsets via Bluetooth.
Summary: I have a couple of gigaset telephones, and I have been happy with them - until this particular one! I found it to be the most difficult phone to use so unresponsive we had to press buttons so many times to have the keypad options, I have now sent it back for a refund
Summary: This phone was not cheap. It is really difficult to use, and by this I mean to press the screen, each digit is painstakingly slow, and please dont buy it if you do not have extremely good ears, even on the loudest volume, it's quiet. I hate it.
