Summary: Not only does it switch between extremely loud and normal at the touch of a button but she can easily identify which buttons do what. The 'extremely loud' button does occasionally take her by surprise but it is very simple to cancel. The display is also nice and clear so she can more easily see if she hasn't closed the call - she hasn't left the phone off the hook with this set whilst that had been a constant problem with her previous cordless phone.
Summary: I've used the previous generation of Geemarc Amplidect phones for several years, and bought this a as a replacement after the base unit became faulty. Unfortunately I can't get on with it at all and it's quite big and unattractive. The sound is unclear/too loud/distorted even with the amplification turned off. The ringer melodies are unappealing, and there's not a lot of choice - none that sounds like a traditional telephone.
This is a good buy, works well and is a very good ...

Summary: This is a good buy, works well and is a very good price. The fact that it has 3 batteries allows for the extra power and features. However I found installing a second phone,( purchased separately ) complicated, with instructions half way through the instruction book. This involves a pin number in order for the base station to accept the 2nd phone. That said, the volume control and especially the tone control great benefit.
This phone mosty works great for my 93 year old mum

Summary: This phone mosty works great for my 93 year old mum. The only problem is that it has TOO MANY FEATURES that she finds confusing. I can't imagine any of the target demographic wanting or needing any of the features other than LOUD AND CLEAR. If she accidentally presses a button or 2 and resets the volume and tone controls (4 butotns are involved) the phone no longer works for her. But I don't want to be too negative.
Summary: Mmm where do I start, love the look of this phone, bought it for my dad as his hearing is not good. Well I set it up and thought that was it then got my first call from him he was fading in and out of the conversation, my partner had to go down and sort it out, in the end this phone is better on hands-free. In my opinion this phone is more for the elderly however the large amount of buttons on it totally made my dad panic. Time will tell if it is a good buy.
