Summary: This was bought for my elderly mother-in-law as her existing phones were not working properly. The first set that arrived was faulty inasmuch as the second handset would not work, even though the batteries were charged - we tried switching batteries and handset 1 always worked.
I do like however the handset's display and convenience

Summary: When picking up the handset even just to move it out of the way I often keep catching the controls which are mounted on the side just where you would normally grip the handset to move or use it. I do like however the handset's display and convenience.
Summary: I purchased this for my elderly mum because the numbers are big and it seemed to be quite straightforward to use. The main problem has been to do with the buttons on the side. When my mum picks up the phone she sometimes inadvertently presses the buttons on the side and changes some of the settings...
Summary: I was really happy with these phones - the BT 1571 service was my answer machine so I didn't need a physical answer machine. Now the scumbags at BT have started charging for 1571 (and for caller display) and I'll be leaving them when my 12 month tie in runs out.
Summary: We needed one of these phones to replace an identical one which had been damaged for use by a 94-year old. This is a fairly easy to use phone with large, clear buttons and display; ideal for the elderly and anyone with restricted dexterity due to age, arthritis, etc.
