Avoid.

FannoFlow, Amazon
15 October 2011
  • Summary: I've had these phones for the best part of three years. The biggest problem is the battery life is absoutely terrible in these. Within a year the charge in the batteries will depreciate to an extent where you can't even have 15 minute calls without the phone completely cutting out, which as you can imagine is an embarassing and annoying situation to occur. I've tried purchasing high quality Energizer rechargeble batteries to try and prolong the charge held.

BT Freestyle 350 single DECT phone/answer machine

Melvin Ruislip, Amazon

  • Summary: Due to a storm, I had to replace my unit which is now out of stock @ BT. I was pleased to find this item on Amazon as I did not want to throw away several slave units.

Somewhat lacking in 'Digital Clarity'

William Percival, Amazon
8 June 2011
  • Summary: The most important function of a phone is the call quality which is where these phones falls flat on their face. On my previous set of handsets I had no problem with call quality but with the BT Freestyle 350 the call volume will just suddenly drop totally mid conversation. Admittedly the sound quality is very good when you can hear the person at the other end but when the signal drops out it can be utterly infuriating.

Shelf life of about a year

Sue, Amazon
1 January 2011
  • Summary: Had these phones for a year or so, and they are all on the verge of death. The batteries are complete rubbish! Tried changing - they lasted about a fortnight at best. On a plus note, as the batteries are going they create a spectacular light show all night long, you just can't sleep for watching it!

Replaced in under 2 years! AWFUL.....

bookshopwanderers "bookshopwanderers", Amazon
16 August 2010
  • Summary: Never mind if these are labelled as 'easy to set up'. That's no good if, when up and running, you get constant problems! I would definitely not recommend these phones! They have a poor quality feel and after less than 2 years I have had enough of them for the following reasons; 1. phone just going dead, mid conversation- 2. no charge to phones when handsets have ALL been on bases, all day!- really bad if you needed to make a call in an emergency!

WOULD NOT ADVISE BUYING THIS PHONE

S. Scanlon, Amazon
13 April 2010
  • Summary: Bought this phone approximately 2 years ago and although it looks ok some of the features have a lot to be desired. Really annoying ring tones for one, when someone has left a message the non stop and extremely annoying beeping telling you that a message has been left and there is no way to turn it off. But the problem I really have is that after 2 years the battery life is shocking. You could be in the middle of a phonecall and it shuts down.

Not entirely happy.

J. Crossley, Amazon
30 January 2010
  • Summary: I purchased this as a replacement for an old answerphone. Unfortunately it is very unreliable and tends to lose it's charge unless treated with extra special gentle care. It is more on the charger than being carried around.
