Summary: Unfortunately, I had to return this phone because the person you were talking to could not hear very well. It sounded too quiet and muffled. I don't know if we just got a bad one and all the others are just fine. Then I'd recommend it.
Summary: I purchased this phone because my old AT&T phone finally wore out. I like the phone. The big buttons are easy to use and the standing screen is easier to read. The only problem I have with the phone is the volume. I am hearing impaired and haven't been able to find a phone I can use with my hearing aids. The volume on my old AT&T turned loud enough for me to hear and understand.
Summary: I bought this phone for my mother who has trouble seeing, not to mention she doesn't believe in cell phones so the answering system makes it so convenient. Now she doesn't miss getting a message when she can't get to the phone fast enough.
Summary: This phone was reasonably priced and I loved all the features. However, after setting up the phone/answering machine, it answered and took 1 message, then continued to cut people off after only 1 ring. I returned the machine for refund. Did I get a Lemon? Tthere are over 100 5-star ratings from reviewers for this phone online at walmart.com. Go figure.
Summary: Bought this when it was on sale. The CL4940 has all the features you could need. Volume control is very good and the equalizer boost is a plus. The user manual is easy to understand. I am more than satisfied. To me it's worth more than the price.
Summary: Like: large buttons, speaker phone, directory for frequently called numbers, sound quality, features, appearance, quality, price. Dislike: screen doesn't light up. I still rated this phone a 5.
