Correction to below review.

WESLEY P., Newegg
26 March 2014
  • Summary: Just to correct the other reviewers this CPU does not have Hyper-Threading (HT). This means it is actually closer to a Haswell Core i5 except with 8MB cache vs. the i5's 6MB.
  • Pros: Haswell microarchitecture.
  • Cons: Lack of HT.

Incredible value

STEWART A., Newegg
27 December 2013
  • Summary: Using a non-stock heat sink is recommended.
  • Pros: - Fast processor, 4 cores with hyper-threading - ECC RAM, VT-d, VT-x support - Integrated HD 4600P graphics
  • Cons: Runs a little hot... Nothing crazy, but I'm seeing 30C idle and 60C full load with the stock cooler.

Rebadged Haswell i7

PHILLIP W., Newegg
18 October 2013
  • Summary: Got a combo deal with the excellent Supermicro X10SAE for $60 off. Supports DVI, VGA, HDMI, and DP all onboard!
  • Pros: Same specs as Haswell i7, but also supports ECC memory and costs almost $100 less. An old version of CPU-Z even identified it as an i7!
  • Cons: None that I can see. Even the much maligned stock fan keeps it around 30C at idle.

Strong!

Scott C., Newegg
25 October 2012
  • Summary: cinebench score is 5.01 CPU, 15 for the onboard graphics.
  • Pros: Put this on a Intel BOXDB75EN mobo for a work station. Stronger than a hyperthreaded X3440 I have in another machine. The onboard graphics are working fine for our purposes.
  • Cons: none, good value.
