Intel Perfection

Anonymous, Newegg
29 June 2008
  • Summary: Intel does it again... really great product.
  • Pros: Excellent processor. Very fast, extremely reliable. I have two of these running in file server without the ducts (I purchased the 2U accidentally)... but, I have yet to have a thermal issue. 110% recommended for any server or workstation.
  • Cons: None.

Great Processor!

Ricardo G., Newegg
2 February 2007
  • Summary: Wish there was 3 sockets on motherboard.
  • Pros: Great processors - using with an Intel S5000VSA board and Kingston 512MB FB-DIMMS and WD SATA drives - saving a lot of money over buying a DELL of similar specs.
  • Cons: None.

perfect

Randall T., Newegg
23 January 2007
  • Summary: Two 5130s score a 5.8 in Vista's score chart - at 2ghz these things put my old 603 pin xeons @ 3ghz to shame... Another winner by Intel!
  • Pros: It's a xeon - you know the specs - woodcrest kicks buns!
  • Cons: none - maybe no hyperthreading too? No biggie... performance shows.

Multi-processor Core 2 Duo

Anonymous, Newegg
30 November 2006
  • Summary: Offers great performance with low wattage.
  • Pros: Excellent performance at lower clock speed thanks to higher IPC. Large L2 cache and high FSB along with great hardware prefetch keep this CPU well fed with data.
  • Cons: None.

No complaints here - just as described.

S. Porcher, Amazon
30 October 2006
  • Summary: The product speaks for itself - pretty much what I needed. Nothing subjective to say as I needed a second processor / heat sink and this fit the bill!
