  • Summary: Average fps on mmos (paired with a r9 270x, using max graphics and msaa @ 1080p):
  • Pros: Works fine for mmo gaming. Highest I've seen it go with stock fans is low 40s. Average idle is 30.
  • Cons: Obviously not the fastest.

WOW!

John O., Newegg
22 March 2014
  • Summary: I paired this with a Asrock z77 pro 3 motherboard and 4GB ram.
  • Pros: When I bought this I was just looking for a cheap processor for a budget build. It has by far exceeded my expectations. It is super fast never any hang-ups. Graphics power is also pretty good I play many games with integrated graphics which was a surprise because I figured I wasn't going to be able to play games with it when I purchased it. Of course if you want to play modern high end games you need to add a graphics card. Honestly I don't see the point in getting an...

Great Budget CPU

Matthew, Amazon
7 January 2014
  • Summary: I bought this CPU for a family member budget build. It was for an older lady who did nothing beyond check emails and facebook. So this CPU isnt dead slow, nor the fastest, but its just right for what she needs. Everything was snappy for Windows 7.

Great budget CPU

Joseph K., Newegg
24 November 2013
  • Summary: Bought this CPU for a second PC that I wanted to put in the living room for basic computer usage. Wasn't planning on doing much gaming on it, as I have an i3 based system for that. However, I wanted to see how Planetside 2 would run on it. I wasn't expecting much out of a $67 chip ...boy was I wrong! Paired this bad boy with a Radeon 7770 and 8 gigs of ram and can consistently get 45 to 60 fps on medium/high settings.
  • Pros: Great super low budget gaming CPU. Plays Planetside 2 almost as fast as my i3 based system that was double the price!
  • Cons: None at this price

a secret gem

  • Summary: I bought this to build a compact desktop which was going to be outfitted with a professional graphics card, so I was going to save my money for the card, rather than spend it on the processor. The idea worked very well with this processor model and it gets the job done. Recommended!
