Great!

  • Summary: OK, just so you know, when you order this, it does NOT come with the thermal paste. You have to buy that seperately. They need to add that somewhere in the description. Without the thermal paste, you can not play gmaes like LoL or CSS or Programs that use alot of RAM on this processor.

Excellent processor! Happy Intel customer!

Mr. Digital, Amazon
3 August 2010
  • Summary: I've always been with Intel since my first computer. I've always been happy with their products not only because they can perform well, but their products are built to last. I bought this processor to use in a DVR computer system that I was building.

Decent Processor For Overclocking

T. Vela, Amazon
2 August 2010
  • Summary: I bought this processor in June of 2010 to replace an older processor for my brother's computer to play WoW(World of Warcraft)with decent performance and with a tight budget at that time. Over time this processor has done decent to run older games and just for everyday use.

Good processor for budget systems

J. Thompson, Amazon
13 March 2010
  • Summary: I recently built two inexpensive systems for customers who were pocket wary. I didn't want anything less than a dual core processor but at the same time I got this processor less than a E5200 which was great. Simple installation and works great with the . It over clocks nicely and runs very cool.

This one works fine

Robert S., Newegg
7 January 2010
  • Summary: NewEgg is great. RMA replacement with no hassles other than the cost to ship it back and the delay. Still docked an Egg because the first one cost me a nice motherboard.
  • Pros: Update to my recent review, unlike last DOA this one works fine. Installed into my new, slightly less capable, GA-EP43-UD3L that replaced my now unusable GA-EP45-UD3R. Runs very cool compared to the 2.66GHz Pentium D it replaced and it seems about twice as fast.
  • Cons: None, with this one.

Decent Mid-Range CPU

Dawn R., Newegg
7 January 2010
  • Summary: Don't use the Intel heatsink (obviously, just look at the reviews). I thought it might do slightly better than my 2 year old 'el cheapo' Thermaltake one that has been though three computer builds, but no. Under load with the Intel cooler temps were close to 65C.
  • Pros: - Worked right out of the box in a Gigabyte EP45-UD3L motherboard. OC'd to 3.25ghz with no problems. - Multiplier can be raised/lowered in .5 steps between 6 and 13. - Much more responsive than the Pentium D 3ghz that it replaced. - Newegg has the best shipping! Not even 3 days later it was shipp...
  • Cons: - Clock ratio was not right on the first run. It defaulted to an 8x multiplier with a 200mhz FSB instead of 13x200. - Received a discontinued chip, by Intel's specs, which means this chip doesn't have virtualization. - Intel stock cooler.
