Works

Jeffrey L. Chapman, Amazon
31 October 2013
  • Summary: The reason I purchased a good used one because I needed to test out to see if it was the processor or the graphics portion of the motherboard. It turned out that the graphics section went bad not the processor, but at least I knew that the processor was guaranteed to work, that made the testing easy. It was promptly sent and properly packaged.

Awesome overclocker and well worth the price!

Dave, Amazon
4 April 2011
  • Summary: Popped it in and worked perfectly fine. The OEM fan is pretty quiet and easy to snap on. Item came fast and works great. I paid $20 for it, I almost feel guilty for getting such a good deal on it. I overclocked it to 2.6ghz without changing any other setting and it's stable.

Good for what it is

turboteph, Ebay
9 May 2010
  • Summary: It's an older dual core CPU with only 1MB cache (similar to the newer Celerons) but their true power lies in their overclockability and low power consumption. Easily reaches 2.60GHz and above without any voltage adjustments, and runs cooler than most CPUs do after a 30% boost in frequency.

Intel E2160 Dual Core Socket 775

djsnyder-half, Ebay
20 December 2009
  • Summary: I bought this processor used and installed it in an asus micro atx motherboard. Works like a charm for everyday things and for some lower demanding games like WoW and Oblivion. Very fast at surfing the net and editing photos. So far it has ran very cool and I've had no issues. For the cheap price of a used one, I would recommend it.

It would Be Great If I Could Get It.

J. Roberts, Amazon
5 September 2009
  • Summary: I ordered this product but can't get it and no reply to my E-Mails. I was under the impression that Amazon was a great company and have had no problems in the past. Maybe the current economic conditions has the good company's resorting to scams and such to make ends meet.

Great CPU

Ramiro Fernandez, Amazon
30 March 2008
  • Summary: Why to buy a 400$-500$ CPU if you can get one of those nice things and OC it until get 2.7 GHz with stock cooling? Man, this CPU is THE WAY TO GO, cheap, good temps and extreme OC...that's almost perfection...(would be if its free..
