Summary: This is an interesting model of the processor . The high clock frequency , together with the level 2 cache 4 megabytes . perfect for multimedia tasks. Also, if you install the graphics card ( I prefer cards that do not consume a lot of electricity , Radeon6670 or invidia430, you can play modern games at medium or low graphics settings). Of course this is not for gamers , but for people like me the most it.
Best Dual Core Processor you can get for a 800 MHz FSB motherboard.

Summary: Intel Pentium D 945 is probably the best Processor for Motherboards with a maximum FSB of 800 MHz. It has an incredible overclocking potential: Overclocked Clock Speed (Air): 4.22 GHz, Overclocked Clock Speed (Water) 4.89 GHz. In my case, this processor tripled the speed of my Optilex GX280 which had a only 2.8 GHz single core processor. I'm surprised that this CPU is actually cheap!
Summary: I needed this processor for a project that I am working on after all what do processor do?. I am not using it for gaming. but rather the web and apps it's very good for that. I haven't looked up the ssa/sse ability of this chip.

Summary: I've bought 3 of these at different times to give new live to ageing systems. These were: HP ML110 G3, HP DC7700 and PC with Asus P5VD1-X motherboard. In terms of performance it is something between Pentium DC E2140 and E2160, and allows to run Windows 7 / 8. P.S. In case of P5VD1-X and maybe other VIA-based motherboards, you have to disable all power saving features (EIST, C1E) to work smoothly. Otherwise, random freezes and BSOD's may occur.
Summary: Very nice processor spcialy for why has the socket LGA775.
