Do not buy from this site

Jonathon C., Newegg
2 June 2015
  • Summary: I will never buy sensitive computer part from this site again. If they cant even package a CPU correctly i have concerns if i was in critical need of a part. However on a side note their customer service was outstanding.
  • Pros: Nothing it was dead on arrival
  • Cons: Everything, It was dead. most likely due to the fact it was literally thrown in a vanilla envelope and wrapped up with tape. No static/shock protection whatsoever. For a site that deals in computer parts i have a question. Is this amateur hour? Were you guys high when you sent this out???

Absolute worthless heatsink

Gregory R., Newegg
31 December 2013
  • Pros: None
  • Cons: Supplied heatsink is such a worthless piece of (you pick of colorful descriptive expletive) that the first real load applied to the system caused the dung processor to overheat and never work right again.

Expensive Hype

Lance M., Newegg
23 September 2013
  • Summary: Set up with two Samsung 840 Pro SSD. One for OS one for backup. 1866 CAS 8 memory and Z77 Mobo. I was expecting too much after reading all the intel hype. I'm really disappointed. Will never, I mean never, buy another intel CPU. Not going to keep it. It's dismantled.
  • Pros: Machine booted
  • Cons: Not one iota faster than "other brand" for BootTime, creating system images, or recovery from image. It made my normally quiet PSU kick up fan speed so that it was audible (even at idle and ambient 76F.) No fix I know of other than to order a single speed PSU.

item not as listed.

vengeanceuk, Amazon
15 June 2012
  • Summary: Came across this product via google shopper and the search phrase 3770k. First off this IS NOT a 3770k it is a locked down variant. Secondly the information listed is inaccurate. It its native state it is a x34 multiplier which equals 3.4Ghz not the x35 multiplier 3.5Ghz the listing claims.
