Summary: Great processor, very cheap and amazingly high performance (compared to other processors from the same price range) it operates in a very cool state and it performs very well in basic operations like surfing the web and doing some office work, overall this processor paired with a good amount of ram can do the work fast and cheap!
Summary: Work just fine!!111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111122222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222233333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333
Summary: get yourself one of these with some nice cooling and an msi board easily stable @3ghz for years. I ran several stress tests and several reviews before attempting this. Runs all the games I throw at it quite nicely with a decent 9800GT nvidia graphics card and some dual channel RAM. Very nice CPU!
Summary: Cheap little overclocker. Reached over 3GHz without raising volts and temps stay below 30c ideal and below 36c load on stock cooler. matched this up with a gts 250 and have a decent little gaming rig that will play all modern games with detail.
Summary: Intel wanted to make a processor that goes at the lower end of their core 2 range, and while brainstorming for names came up with the pentium dual core range. Although they are actually just standard core 2 processors with a cut down L2 cache and FSB speed, Intel chose this name because pentiums have had 10 years of advertising and are well known for quality, incidentally this is what you get with the E2180.
Pros: fast, cheap, incredible for overclocking
Cons: stock cooler not very good, only 1MB of L2 cache
Summary: I recently purchased the Pentium Dual Core E2180 for my parents PC from ebuyer.com. I bought the retail version which comes with a fan for about £45. This price puts it at the low end of the scale in terms of Intel CPU pricing. It is clocked at 2.0ghz, this may sound low to lots of you but it is a improved design over old CPUs so is very good. The CPU is packaged in a big Intel Box. There is a security seal so you know you are getting a genuine, tamper free piece.
Pros: fast, cheap, easy to install
Cons: cooler is a tad noisy (in my obsessive opinion)
Excerpt: "This is brilliant processor for its small price. In fact i like it so much, im writing this review using it right now. It is really easily over clocked using the right mother board. Personally, i have overclocked to 2.5Ghz using a cheap Gigabyte motherboard and an arctic cooling freezer 7 pro heat-sink fan unit. I have found that it is brilliant for multi-tasking. Even the programs that heavily use CPU power are done with ease on this powerful little ...
Intel Pentium Dual Core E2180 / 2 GHz: A Great Dual-Core CPU for a Budjet

Summary: I Brought This Product in December in replace my old Altlon 64 setup then I upgraded to the E2140 and now I have the E2180. The only Difference between the two CPUS is the E2140 is 1.6Ghz and the E2180 is 2Ghz. The Great thing about this CPU is that the value is Very Good the Processor cost me £45. I have played Hell gate London and Medal of honour Airborne without any problems whatsoever and the game play is more smooth. The CPU is clocked at 2.0Ghz X 2 (4.0 GHz).
Excerpt: "With the right motherboard this cpu can be overclocked to 3 GHZ with no problem. Even on a cheap motherboard (abit ip95)i have overclocked to 2.2GHz just by raising the fsb by 10% The processor is excellent for anyone building a cheap HTPC teamed up with 1GB DDR/DDR2 ram and a cheap pci graphics card this will run windows vista ultimate with ease. The dual core enables you to run multi applications without any slow down of the pc. It is ...
