Summary: The difference is night and day in performance. Games that didn't run well with the gtx 260 in the M15X it was installed on, runs flawless. Brought the WEI to a 7.2. The i3 has a TDP of 35w and this one is 45w, but I used Arctic Silver 5 on both the GPU and CPU, making it run just as cool as before.
Summary: Great price for a superbly built processor. The proc, without question, will satisfy the gaming enthusiast, number cruncher, or designer/architect (e.g., Flash, AutoCAD, etc.) ..
Pros: Great processor for gaming. I've run both FlightSimulator X (on ultra-high), and had Steam (MW2) running at the same time, coupled with a 500MB download of an application and not once with the CORE's go over 10%. Granted, the download is external to the locally running applications but nonetheles...

Pros: this is a very nice cpu i got this with my new alienware m15x (old laptop broke) and its a very fast cpu 2.93 mhz is very fast... the new intel i7 2gen(2.8) on the m17x can'teven beat this speed intel is expensive but fast, quad core 8 threats and turbo
Summary: As always, even though it's the same socket as a Pentium P6100, make sure your laptop's chipset and/BIOS can support the processor. I got a Dell XPS with this processor in it, so I didn't have to worry about this minor detail. :D
Pros: Blazing fast processor. Great for both mobility and gaming.
