  • Summary: I you plan on gaming though I recommend the Core i7 series.
  • Pros: It works I guess.
  • Cons: The speed. I built a computer for my mom and used this processor and its an average speed, it was fast for what she was using it for.

Great Processor, Too Expensive for 2010

Anonymous, Newegg
7 November 2010
  • Summary: Processor prices should decrease over time, as newer, faster processors become available. It appears Intel took 2010 off, and expects us to continue paying the same as we did in 2009. Still a solid processor and the best available from Intel at the price point.
  • Pros: Generally a great processor. Four fast, cool running cores. All the bells and whistles you might want except HT.
  • Cons: I bought this in November 2009 from Newegg. It cost the exact same amount as it is currently priced (November 2010). This was a great deal in 2009, but by now the price should be a lot lower.
