Summary: I might have bought a different model if I knew then what I know now. CAD software is typically single-threaded (except for rendering), but benefits without overclocking. I also have a graphics card now, so I don't need on-chip graphics. So a 'K' model would have been better for me, along with a o'clocker motherboard.
Summary: Mated to an ASRock Z77 Extreme4. over 13hours on Prime95 stable at 4.1GHZ on a single core and 3.9GHZ on all 4 cores.
Pros: Got this thing running with a CM Hyper 212 Evo cooler, and max temps on Prime95 running for over 13hours hit 65 degrees C. Currently overclocked to 4.1ghz. Adjusted my BCLK to achieve that. So far, runs very well.
Summary: You're gonna OC. PLEASE WATER COOL!!!!! This CPU is there for you to get the job done. You need to support your CPU in return.

Summary: used this processor in a build to replace a computer that was about 5 years old, overheating, and getting buggy. It is a pleasure. Lightning fast, keeps it's cool (I used the stock cooler), very dependable. with this processor as the centerpiece of this new build, this is probably the best and even by comparison the fastest computer I've ever built.
Summary: I mean its an intel quad core...they are always great.
Pros: Perfect for all of the latest demanding games. Plays BF4 maxed out at 1080p without any issues. Super fast. Was able to overlclock to 3.8 successfuly using ASUS Z77 Deluxe with a click of button.
