Great Processor! Highly Recommend! Buy the i5-3470
25 November 2014
Summary: used this processor in a build to replace a computer that was about 5 years old, overheating, and getting buggy. It is a pleasure. Lightning fast, keeps it's cool (I used the stock cooler), very dependable. with this processor as the centerpiece of this new build, this is probably the best and even by comparison the fastest computer I've ever built.
Summary: I'll start off by saying what I do with the CPU over the past year. -I play demanding games like BF4. -I like to program -I have two monitors -I like to be an amateur video and image editor Those are some of the uses I use the i5 for. The CPU has never let me down and temperatures never hit above 65 degrees on the stock cooler. By the way, with the 3470, DO NOT get a different cooler because it will go to waste as the temperatures are more then comfortable.
Summary: Good processor with turbo boost technology, it can be OC easily with the Asus P8Z77-v Pro board I'm using. It has a 6MB cache which I would never go any smaller than that in any application. It has support for three monitors and is PCI 3.0 which is a step up from my i7 but overall the i7 still stomps it... severely but for the money this is a good buy.
Summary: I was looking to upgrade my AMD 4 years old PC but I needed something that would not generate a lot of heat due to where the PC is placed and it's air circulation. I've been an AMD user for a really long time but I opted for Intel since my reviews did lead me to believe this would work out for me.This processor has proven to be the best for me since although I have seen an incredible upgrade on performance the overall temperature on the case is below 90 degrees F.
