Great processor, but almost as costly as entry-level i5

Summary: The Intel i3-4340 processor is plenty fast, and will easily accommodate most computer users quite easily, without breaking a sweat. It's main advantages are lower power consumption and cooler running temperatures - making it ideal for smaller cases/psu and/or cases with limited cooling options.
Summary: I bought this for my HTPC build. Fantastic little I3 chip. For the money, you cant beat this performance. Has hyperthreading too. I looked at a lot of different chips and this one has the best bang for the buck! Pros: Reasonable price Works great right out of the box!
Summary: This is a good chip for the casual user of 'surfing', e-mail and probably some light gaming. I would highly recommend this chip for an all purpose non gaming rig. At some future date, chip upgrade may take place for a reason I cannot currenty justify.
Pros: Fast, acceptable everyday use with on chip video, stable and relatively 'cheap'. Processor running at 100%, 4 thread, load on BOINC (cpu cycle sharing program) and maintaing 50-52C over 24hr period. Idle tmps are about 25-30C. Ambient about 20C. Cooled with a single fan Hyper 212-evo on a ASRock ...
Summary: Used this in an EVGA Hadron build with a 760 and a 120gb Samsung Evo. Surprisingly good performance for the price. Used the EVGA ACX mini cooler on the cpu, keeps it below 60 degrees on full load in prime95. Handles any game with absolutely no problem.
Summary: -Little or No Overclocking ability (You pretty much get what you buy, only RAM and Graphics can be overclocked) Paired with an Asus Z87M-Plus, upgraded to latest 11xx bios, and lost sound. Simply updated the Intel drivers and everything ran as expected.
Pros: -Intel HD 4600 Graphics -22nm Dual Core 3.6ghz with Hyperthreading -Latest 1155 Socket -Virtualization Support
Cons: -Higher power consumption than the previous 3xxx generation -Relatively high heat generation -Little or No Overclocking ability
Summary: I built this system for my wife to use for basic book keeping of her salon business - As well as web surfing and such. She said she didn't need much and she keeps telling me that I built her more than she needs.
Pros: Plug it in and GO. This little thing blows away my thoughts of what an i3 is supposed to be. For everyday use of mainly MS Office software and 1080p video playback - This does it all and has room left. Energy efficient and doesn't put out a lot of heat especially for being clocked at 3.6Ghz. Pair...
