Conclusion: This group of tests boasts some multi-threading optimization. It helps the Intel processors result in what resembles a set of stairs, while Phenom II X6 outperforms its quad-core neighbors. The Intel CPU results are messed up a little, because benchmarks in this group of tests (and many other programs) require only two threads. Only Turbo Core can help AMD in this case, but all their processors can't even catch up with the top Pentium.
Conclusion: Power consumption is a little less than the Core i5-2500K, as expected. We took our measurements with Intel SpeedStep enabled for both processors running at stock voltages and configuration. These measurements were all obtained on a Gigabyte motherboard (I installed the Core i3-2120 into my P67A-UD5 for this test). I turned Gigabyte's Dynamic Energy Saver off for all of them. Note that Turbo Mode is enabled for both the Core i5-750 and Core i5-2500K.
Conclusion: Although most of the attention paid towards Sandy Bridge has rightfully been focused on the multiplier-unlocked K models, Intel's mainstream LGA1155 processors are clearly no slouches. These two chips crushed their Intel predecessors across the board, and as such obviously didn’t leave AMD’s offerings looking all that rosy either.

Excerpt: Anfang Januar fiel nicht nur der offizielle Startschuss für die Vierkern-Modelle der neuen "Sandy Bridge"-Generation für den Sockel 1155 sondern auch für die günstigeren Zweikern-Versionen. Allerdings entließ Intel diese erst Ende Februar in den Markt, so dass der Intel Core i3 bis heute ein eher unbeachtetes Dasein fristen.
