  • Summary: This performs adequately with only a slight dent to my wallet. More cores and more clock cycles...excellent! How can you not like that?

Nice and Fast

Michael E., Newegg
13 June 2011
  • Summary: Enjoy a solid CPU... but remember for this price you can get a great i7.. the 950/960, sandy bridge 2600(k). It's out dated and still too expensive for the market for what you can get for the same price.
  • Pros: One of the fastest and most powerful of it's generation.
  • Cons: I'm having trouble do standard OC with it for some reason. I've been reading people of people getting this CPU as high as 4ghz stable. The Second I get close to the 10% incrase of 3.3ghz I start noticing it to be unstable. Now I'm not new to overclocking. I'm thinking it might have something to d...

Good processor

Richard R., Newegg
8 May 2011
  • Pros: I bought this processor to do virtualization, which I couldn't do with my existing processor. It's not only faster, but it boosted my WEI rating to 7.3 for processor speed.
  • Cons: None

Good CPU but expensive

Benjamin C., Newegg
6 January 2011
  • Summary: Ordered 12/28, received it 6 days later on 01/03 (it was over a weekend though).
  • Pros: 4 cores. Good stock speed of 3GHz. I don't overclock, so this speed is good to have out of the box.
  • Cons: Price is too high for this aging technology with the second generation core i7's out now. Didn't improve my windows score of 6.2 from my old Intel Pentium Dual Core E6300 @2.8GHz. The stock heat sink/fan is hard to put into the motherboard. Gave it three eggs because of the high price, poor heat ...

Awesome CPU/Terrible price

Kyle H., Newegg
14 April 2010
  • Summary: It's ridiculous that you can get a comparable i-7 for $230. How can this possibly be $100 more, still....
  • Pros: Fast, easy to overclock, great cache
  • Cons: price price price and still limited by FSB
