Summary: I've got a micro-desktop PC (3-litre Acer) with LGA775 socket and max CPU TDP of 65W, and wanted to get maximum performance out of it, so the choice was quite obvious. As these Quads are essentially two Duos on one die, there were no problems with rather old BIOS of my PC - it already contained the required microcode. The performance in amazing - decoding 1080p H.264 video takes only 20 to 25% of CPU time on this processor.
Received the processor & fan. Missing parts for fan.

Summary: I received the processor and fan. Processor works fine. But the fan.. the installation parts were missing so I have a nice "paperweight". I contacted Zalman about available installation parts but no response so far. So it appears I can not use the fan nor will I be able to resell the fan. Maybe I can get a couple bucks at the recycler for scrap metal.
Summary: CPU runs great! The only problem i notice is that the temperature sensors on each of the 4 cores are not really accurate and vary at full load and idle drastically. I'm talking about that all temperatures should be fairly equal on each core but they are not. At idle core 1 and 2 are at 27 Celsius and core 3 is at 35 core 4 is at 37 and the last 2 cores are "stuck" in this temperature until processor exceeds those temperatures.
Summary: Ich habe diese CPU in einen Barebone-PC (Asus P6-P5G41E) eingebaut. Durch den geringeren maximalen Stromverbrauch - 65 statt 95 Watt (Standard-Q9550) bleibt die CPU im Durchschnitt 10° C. kühler und der Geräuschpegel der Lüftung/Kühlung fällt etwas dezenter aus - OHNE Abstriche bei der Leistung!
