Great for the price

  • Summary: This processor totally works for me. I play newer games on it fine. I was able to overclock this processor to 2.7ghz with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus. I have been playing games like Dirt3, Dirt Showdown, NFS shift 2, NFS most wanted (2012), Skyrim, Modern Warfare 3 at at least medium settings (I lower it a bit so I have no lag), and minecraft (at 1080p on max settings while recording at 60fps with FRAPS on a separate HD).

  • Summary: Needed a direct replacement processor. There were several listed but being a processor that came from the same model computer left me with know choice but to purchase this one. It was a direct fit with no start up issues.

A worthwhile upgrade to an aging dual-core system.

rubualkc, Ebay
17 March 2012
  • Summary: I bought this processor as an upgrade to a computer running an Intel Core 2 Duo E7400, and wasn't expecting much of a change going from a very fast dual-core processor (2.8 GHz) to a slower quad-core processor (2.33 GHz). I was surprised by how responsive my computer became. The higher front-side bus (the connection between the memory and the rest of the computer) speed does make a difference (1066 for the E7400 vs. 1333 for the Q8200).

  • Summary: i ordered this to upgrade from a dual core, and today its still running perfectly fine. installation was easy, but i would recommend having someone who has experience with building/replacing computer parts to install it if you have no experience working on the inside of computers.

All is righ!!

Good quad for us rookies

gaoshi1010, Ebay
2 June 2010
  • Summary: This processor does what you expect it to do: seamless performance running several programs or sites, interacting with same, and smoother than duo core units of any vintage. But what I like about it most, is the fact it gets no respect, and can be purchased here on eBay for the sum of its lesser duo core kin...if you're patient, and not necessarily as patient as Job. So, I say, just keep bidding, keep it under 3 figures and enjoy.
