Summary: A great processor, marked an era, its performance, its quad-core processor, made this icon, today shows outstanding performance for its time, managing to position in a good place in modern times.
Totally different world when switching from duo core to this quad core!!!!!
4 October 2013
Summary: This is a great CPU. So much better than using a DUO CORE! It's really night and day difference having two extra cores of computing power. When you switch to this CPU from a DUO core and double your memory along with switching over to a solid state hard drive from the normal RPM hard drives. Well, lets just say its one way of making an old computer run faster than a brand new one off the shelf! This quad core in particular was such a great buy for the price I paid.
Summary: I inserted this into my old HP Pavilion A6600f desktop after upgrading the RAM and the performance increased dramatically and now everyone in the household is more satisfied with using the computer. Multiple programs can be run with ease and I get a much cleaner performance when using it myself. All in all a great investment and still a great cpu albeit a bit aged.
Summary: Bought this CPU used for a PC made up of leftovers from other upgrades. Quite adequate for Windows 7 with a Windows benchmark of 7.1. Not up to the performance of the latest and greatest, but for a basic home or office PC, perfectly adequate.
Summary: I have used this processor for about 2 years and it is still going strong. Overclocked it for awhile however my inexperience in overclocking caused some problems. Even on stock I have had no problems with speed. I am still happy and I don't even feel a need to upgrade. Which I am usually rather eager to do after a couple years.
