Not worth the money
7 December 2011
Summary: Absolutely not worth the money. My problem is that I have built over seven computers and sincerely do not understand why would I pay (even used) so much more for something that is just a little more sofisticated than AMD? sure this thing may be good but when you realize what you paid for it- it is not worth it! I built a new computer with AMD dual core Phenom II Black 3.2Ghz ($89.00 brand new) and it moves a lot faster than this Intel extreme QX9650 with four cores!
Summary: doe's not pay attention to details like shipping, cost us a small fortune to drive out to the annex and pick it up, part was flacky at best never ran stable at all, sold everything for scrap at a big loss!
CPU not this expensive when brand new first came out!!!
11 July 2008
Summary: Hi, Well when i saw this for the price they are asking I about had a cow! (MOO) This CPU around a year and a half ago was only around $1100 somewhere when it first came out! I bought mine and it was brand spanking new out of an unopened box non OEM (had that enormous fan in the box) from either this site or the other guys (shhhh!) for around $750 or so.
Bad experience with Komputerbay order fulfilled by Amazon.com
10 July 2008
Summary: Komputerbay is a shady place. Even though they say order fulfilled by Amazon.com. They are cheaters. I ordered a Qx9650 Extreme tray processor. Guess what I received a used processor, but the packaging (their own static bag and foam wrapped!) said it is NEW!. I will never buy from this shady shop and would not recommend any one to buy any products for that matter. They might be cheap, but they are cheaters. Stay away from them.
Vorsicht!
