  • Summary: So the chip works well and has improved performance on my Gateway laptop, however, I have noticed certain scenarios where my system now slows down for periods of time where before it did not.

Perfect upgrade.

  • Summary: I installed the T9900 in the place of a P8700 in a Toshiba Qosmio G50. The difference is big, helps a lot the system which is actually gives an extremely light feeling. Everything runs smooth and flawless. Both Processor and memory (DDR2 800) improved in the Windows Experience Index from 6.1 to 6.5 and also it slightly helped the Hard disk to. Even in power saving mode (in power settings) with lower clock settings there is big difference.

Very cool performance to improve his laptop.

  • Summary: I would like to change my processor to improve the performance of my Lenovo W500. It was a little bit difficult to disassemble the laptop. But with the hardware maintenance manual I was able to do it. Now it is working and in the windows bench is at 6.6/7.9. For a laptop it's quite cool. I have the best CPU for Intel Chipset 45 with socket 478.

Upgraded my Qosmio X300-033 -no pain, much gain.

  • Summary: I'm attempting to 'extend' the work life of my Qosmio X300 and am very pleased at the ease to upgrade from a P8400 to a T9900 (gives performance increase of 1.49). Following instructions on the internet I had no problems upgrading the harddrive to a hybrid with 32GB of Solid State memory to speed up boot; upgraded RAM from 4GB to 8GB of 1066 (I think it is DDR3 PC8500).

Intel Core 2 Duo T9900 & Samsung 470 SSD, perfect combo for me!

davidc646, Ebay
22 August 2011
  • Summary: This is the best Core 2 Duo CPU available for my laptop and so far it has been flawless. It has a large L2 Cache of 6MB and the clock speed of 3.06GHz is simply amazing for a mobile application. The 1066MT/s Front Side Bus is supported by my motherboard and makes processes quick. This T9900 idles around 25*C for me and under full load I'm seeing around 65*C. I could've gotten a Intel Core 2 Extreme X9100 for its unlocked multiplier but that CPU's TDP is rated at 44W.

T9900 is simply the best in the Core 2 Duo class.... enough said!

  • Summary: I needed more power for my music works, so I searched for the best CPU in the Core 2 Duo line, which my existing computer supports (Asus X5DIN). It's a perfect CPU, as it has an amazing speed (3.06 GHz) which is great for music and intensive single-threaded works, massive cache lower overall load (6MB), very very small package and very power friendly (well, it's just about 40W TDP).

Very fast processor. The best you can get in PM45 or GM45 chipsets.

  • Summary: I have an Asus G51vx with a stock P7350 (2.0 GHz). I looked for a T9900 or P9700 to upgrade my notebook. Even having a higher TDP, the increase in temperature was little, while the increase in performance is sweet. Don´t forget to buy some thermal grease also !

From Gaming, CS3 and Graphic Design to everyday apps, everything's FASTER!

  • Summary: I went from a 2.27ghz processor in my p7811fx to this 3.06ghz and wow! This thing screams. Instantaneouse everything and gaming now rocks! I originally was looking at the x9900 so I could overclock but was worried that it would make my unit overheat. I can barley tell the speed differance between this t9900 and my desktop with I7 2600k at 3.6ghz. Best decision ever for my lappy, I was considering spending thousands on a new one, not any more!
