Summary: Purchased for a Compaq CQ62, upgrading from a single core Celeron 900 processor. The upgrade was simple enough, and most importantly, it works! Easily within the reach of any patient person who can follow directions and keep track of a dozen or so screws.
Summary: Got it days earlier than I expected! It's in perfect shape and went in with great ease. Works really, really well. It is super being able to run a dual core in my old laptop. Now I can get another year or so out of the old beast.
Summary: Wanted to update my 4 year old compaq presario cq60. Read that this should work in it long as the FSB speed was the same which it was. If your not computer savy just search YouTube for your laptop and there's probably videos on how to replace the CPU.
Summary: I upgraded my laptop from, A 1.7 GHZ processor to this one, A 2.4 GHZ and it made A BIG DIFFERENCE, on the laptop performance. I also upgraded the hard drive from, A 160 GB 5400 RPM TO A 320 GB 7200 RPM. WAS ALOT CHEAPER than buying a new laptop.
Summary: It actually took about 3 hours to upscale that file. This processor goes well with 2+ GB of memory and/or a 8650M GS or 8700M GT video card. I had an 8700M GT with 4gb of memory and vista home premium was *loosing* the war to kill my laptop... .badly!
Pros: I Owned this (T7700) and the T9300 so i have a feel for both. This is one powerful processor. It has a multitude of features which help it save battery life while *not gaming.* The only game i owned that i can think of that taxed this processor is supreme commander (90%-100%). Every other game, B...
Cons: From what i remember, it was the hottest component in my laptop even trumping the 8700M GT Graphic card. I remember upscaling one 7mb 640 x 320i file to 1920 x 1080p HD quality............................ ill let you know when i'm finished.
Summary: If I had to pay full retail price (which I didn't), I would have gone for the T9300 instead. They are practically the same price.
Pros: FAST! Makes my Gateway P-6831FX much more responsive than the T5450 that was in it. Vista score jumped from 4.6 to 5.3 for cpu score. 4MB cache comes in handy when gaming. This G0 stepping runs much cooler than my T5450. About 10C cooler on avg.
Summary: Unlike the other people who have purchased this CPU its ran very COOL for me never above 45 degrees C unlike my previous processor which ran 75 to 90 degrees C. Its definitely worth the money in my opinion.
Pros: Great processer. It just blows me away. I upgraded from a C2D 1.5GHz to this and was amazed at the difference it made.
Cons: Sadly since its a mobile processor, if you want to use it for gaming be sure you have a decent graphics card installed as well. I have more horsepower than the graphics card (8600M GT 256mb) can handle.
Summary: Got this to build my car computer around. MSI MS-9803 mini-itx m/b w/ 2x2gb A-Data ddr2-800, Hitachi 200gb 7500rpm Sata 150 notebook HD, Panasonic UJ-85J Slimline slotloader R/W DVD & Xenarc 1020tsv monitor (splits to run in dual screen).
Pros: Very fast. Runs "real world" programs as fast as my BadAx2/E6600@3600. Very impressed. Definite overkill for it's application but I wasn't sure how good it would be so I went w/ the fastest socket "P" available.
