Summary: Bought the Intel Core 2 Duo E7600 - 3.06 GHz Dual-Core (BX80571E7600) Processor to try the 64 bit route with Win 7 Ultimate. Replaced dual core 32 bit processor. Works just fine, after Bios flash. Installed with no problem, does seem faster then 32 bit.
Can't get better than this for the money, Great product at a great price.

Summary: First of all Intel makes one of the Best if not the best Processors in The Market, this one is no exception, ok. Now if your looking for the Latest & Greatest, this you is not for you, ok. This is a 775 Pin Breakout tech, but still a great CPU. Here are some general specs about it that say it all.
Summary: I upgraded to the E7600 processor because it was the fastest one that my very cheap Compaq (new at Circuit City for $267 about three years ago) would accomodate. It came wth an Intel E2160 which worked fine, but I had always planned on upgrading when the price was right. The improvement is quite noticable, especially when I paid only $88 for it. My stock Cooler Master CPU heat sink seems to work nicely for it as well (verfied with SpeedFan).
