Came with useless OEM cooler

Dr Thomas J Maples, Amazon
20 June 2013
  • Summary: I was surprised when the processor came together with an OEM cooler. I had ordered a separate cooler thinking it was only a processor chip. But as it turned out the OEM cooler wouldn't stay attached to the motherboard, so having an aftermarket cooler was a good thing. The processor works as expected. It's obsolete, but it's for work not games and it works just fine in that capacity.

Great processor

Collin Pruitt, Amazon
13 March 2008
  • Summary: A great processor, works great in my system. A great way to refurbish an older system. It can keep up with most modern programs and some modern games fairly well, so long as it's paired with the proper graphics card.

Not too much to say

A. Lincoln, Amazon
13 March 2008
  • Summary: Anyone who's looked at this processor probably already knows what to expect from a Core 2 Duo clocked at 2.33. Nothing spectacular, but it does it's job and does it well. Sturdy and cheap processor for a last minute 'frankenstiened' desktop.

works great

John D Ekstromer, Amazon
13 March 2008
  • Summary: My old LGA775 fried during a storm. Bought this one, installed it, and it worked as stated. I run Linux, and wanted a processor that would handle it. No problem, and bit faster.

HTPC Upgrade

Kenobi, Amazon
13 March 2008
  • Summary: i received an old PC from my sister that i had planned to repurpose as a HTPC but it was powered by a Celeron and wasn't able to keep up with some 720 videos and 1080 was totally out of the question. upgraded to this and now it seems to handle everything very nicely. it came packaged OEM and included a heatsink which was a pleasant surprise.
