Summary: Drop in replacement for Gateway GTS464. Much faster than the 1.6GHz clunker that it came with. Can't beat the price that some vendors are selling them for. *edit* Don't forget to delete all files in the C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DRM.
Summary: This extended the life of an old but reliable system, which will now be able to run Windows 7 or even Windows 8. It won't break any speed records, mind you - but it will run, and for what it gets used for it will do just fine.

Summary: Pleased with the whole transaction; product was as advertised and shipment was delivered promptly. Thanks! (Processor itself was the fastest chip compatible with the intended mb chipset, so it's not the fastest in general, but for my application it was desirable.)
Summary: It works fine. Since my stupid OEM motherboard won't let me overclock, I can't say anything about that, but at stock speed the E4600 works great. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of five is for installation. Putting the CPU in the motherboard is fine, no problems there.
Summary: On a previous computer build I bought the core 2 duo E4400 boxed processor, and was quite happy with it. This purchase was different, Intel now includes a heatsink that is between 1/3 and 1/2 the size of what they used to ship!
