Works great, less costly.

gjemmott, Amazon
5 May 2012
  • Summary: The G530 has all the bells and whistles of the i3, i5, and i7 - built-in video, dual-core processing, integrated ram controller, and more - but at a fraction of the cost. I used it to build a machine that I plan to upgrade to an i7 (or whatever the best LGA1155 form-factor chip is) in 2 or 3 years,...

  • Summary: works great. awesome processor for a budget computer build which is mostly going to be used for watching movies and light light gaming. cpu cooler works fine although it would never hurt to upgrade. other then that no problems what so ever.

Efficient, Low Power, and a great Value!

Dezzie, Amazon
9 March 2012
  • Summary: While it's not an i5 or i7, it is still an amazing product. This is a low power, high efficient little beast. I mean, just look at what you are getting for the price (which is quite low) I would have to say that this is a great buy if you are building on the cheap.

Great bang for the money!

jallen, Amazon
9 March 2012
  • Summary: For what I do (online videos, surfing and email) this cpu is a steal; why spend 2x or 3x more when you can have this Sandy Bridge dual core for $50?

Very low power and decent performance. Excellent for NAS

G. Farnsworth, Amazon
9 March 2012
  • Summary: I use this processor in my DIY file server (i.e., NAS). I have a mini itx motherboard and three hard drives in it at the moment. The OS is installed on a USB flash drive. I leave the server itself running 24/7 (only sleeping the hard drives when not in use), so I was looking for something cool but...

I Feel Like a Thief...

Simon, Amazon
9 March 2012
  • Summary: For the price I paid for this processor ($45), I feel like I committed a crime by purchasing it. Seriously? $45 for a Intel dual core 2.40 processor? That is a steal if I ever saw one!

Doesn't disappoint like older Celerons!

J. Trejo, Amazon
9 March 2012
  • Summary: I purchased this CPU to put it in a home theater PC. It runs very cool and provides enough processing power to watch anything from YouTube to Blu-Ray videos. The Celeron name carries a bad reputation from years past but the new line of Celerons puts most low to mid-range AMDs to shame.

Best Bang for the $

ArtS, Amazon
9 March 2012
  • Summary: Installed it and was happily surprised at the value you get for under $50. HD playback 1080p No problem, Netflix YouTube 1080p looks great. I was able to run two 1080p videos on two separate monitors with no additional video card, CPU goes to 90-100% while playing YouTube 1080p (on two monitors!!!).

Fast as H3LL!

Arcanist, Amazon
9 March 2012
  • Summary: I initially wanted to go for the G620, but I somehow went for the G530. It being a celeron initially turned me off, but hey, it's still a sandy bridge! I don't think you can tell the difference between this and the i3 sandy bridge, because it is just smooth-sailing fast! Literally!
