Summary: I needed to upgrade a file server/Active Directory box with a more modern CPU and a bit more memory. This little CPU was the right price (cheap!) and performs quite well in its duties. I'm happy with the purchase. I installed it into an ASUS motherboard and had the PC up and running pretty quickly.
Summary: paired this fifty dollar cpu with a decent abit p35 motherboard I had, 2gb of kingston hyperx ddr2-800, a kingston v-series ssd, and windows 7 32-bit, and holy cr@p this cheap setup rocks out of the box! Web pages, photos, HTPC use, etc. No problem at all, I put an old 8800GT in there and it can play games like Call of Duty Modern Warfare just fine.
Summary: this proc. meets the necessary you are looking for work every day and think a little on the energy savings this processor is your best choice as HaSatan oc stable 4.2 GHz 24 / 7 the puchaaaaa.
Summary: Great processor for the price! Even though it's a Celeron, it performs very well for what I use it for. I'm using this processor in a net desktop (a PC that only goes on the web and nothing else) I built. It runs without any problems, however the fan seemed to operate a little odd. When the computer was running, the CPU fan didn't seem to be spinning fast enough, when compared to other Intel CPU fans I've installed and used. Maybe I'm just seeing things.
Summary: I purchased this to upgrade my HP Mediasmart Server ex485, which came with a Celeron 440 35 watt single core CPU. This CPU is rated at 65 watt but still able to operate at the same temperature as the 440, most likely due to the fact that the core has being reduced from 65nm to 45nm so it's much more efficient. This is very important to me because the HP server only has passive cpu heatsink and the stability of the machine will be depending on it.
