Opteron 2380 - real grunt in a 64-bit world

  • Summary: If your motherboard can support the 3rd Generation Opteron 2380 (or two of them) then you have a machine with immense computing power. Add a high end Video card and there are no limits. The high cache levels on the 2380 ensure that Windows 8 reports the maximum 7.9 on Memory speed and with a couple of 2380s, 7.6 on processor speed. But double check that your MB can support this Shanghai chip as some older boards don't support quad chips later than Barcelona.
