Summary: This processor work flawlessly! I am using it right now as I am writing this review! The computer is working very quickly and I can now play bigger games that I could not play before installing this CPU!!
Summary: I purchase this Pentium 4 for a budget build back in 2009 - it was for a computer that was purely for office/web use, and would see nothing more taxing than microsoft word and Youtube. Still, it is a strong performer.
Summary: Easy to install, though the instructions say 'intended to be professionally installed', I wonder if that means I'm a professional. My system has been running smooth and QUIET, I have check to confirm it's on sometimes. Works great for me.
Summary: Windows XP setup runs in less than 10 min., that 's great. Full system scan by Norton for full 80 GB HD in less than 15 min, that's wonderfull. Espicially with 1 GB Ram DDR2. BUT THAT HORRIBLE SOUND DRIVES ME CRAZY, i think such fan may be used as a coolant undoubtfully for a car engine
Pros: Fast, relatively in fact, til another faster processor is dispached
Cons: Aeroplane, blender, 6.0 L old car engine may be quitter than its fan.. I feel that i'm working in an iron factory
Summary: I just built a brand new top of the line system, and its running a bit slow. Not all the time, but some random functions arent performing at the fastest speeds in the world. I'm a tech, and confirming with others, the biggest reccomendation I have found is to disable the HT technology to increase...
Summary: I did quite a lot research before I bought this CPU. Unless you prefer AMD ones, this is the cpu with highest performance/price ratio. I have used it for 2 months. The one thing i don't like is the fan is kind noisy and hard to intall.
Summary: This is a great processor! It is awesome for everyday tasks and other big programs. I would recommend this processor for everybody. (For hardcore gamers, this processor is okay, I'd suggest an AMD though. Otherwise, buy this!)
Summary: I just build a new computer to replace my old AMD Atherton 700mhz computer. I do a lot of video editing for home movie DVDs. The old computer was just taking too long to transcode the video for DVDs.
Summary: I have not found this processor to run hot with the stock heatsink, seems to be anywhere from 38°C-45°C depending on system stress. The fan is slightly louder than what I am used to with my second system's 2.4GHz Prescott, but very tollerable anyway.
