Perfect for what I need it to do.
3 October 2014
Summary: This processor was the perfect fit for my 1080p media center tower. It installed with no issues in my Biostar Motherboard A770 A2+. With 8gb of 800mhz ddr2, this set-up gets me where I need to be and then some, without breaking the bank. I would highly recommend this processor to anyone with similar needs.
Summary: I am very impressed by the CPU performance. This product replaced AMD Sempron. I can see the difference. I bought the CPU mostly in purpose to play Civilization 5. Really, I did a good choice. One minor problem is the temperature. It is 5-10 degrees more now. But this is minor.
Low-cost excellent performance upgrade with virtualization in Win8 support.

Summary: Excellent value for aging AM2 systems. I upgraded to this from a dual core Athlon, for the extra power and the virtualization capabilities. Hyper-V in Windows 8 pro is fantastic, and I am able to make a small lab on my home PC powered by this processor. Games run great and multi-threaded tasks work well.
Summary: I needed it for a repair to my multi-media Desk Top, the product works excellent and the seller couldn't be more professional. Needless to say the DT is up and running like new and I am printing out the Poppa photos and video.
Buy this processor if you have an older motherboard and you need a boost
9 August 2012
Summary: I have a slightly older motherboard so my cpu shopping was limited and a lot how are compatible with my motherboard were actually more expensive than some of the newer ones. This processor was a good balance of value to performance. I would highly recommend this processor if you don't do anything completely processor heavy. I can transcode full 1080 p hd movies to my x box and stream over my network with this processor.
Bring true quad-core computing to your socket AM2+ motherboard.

Summary: Bring true quad-core computing to your socket AM2+ motherboard. I dropped this it to replace an aging 4200+ Dual-core. What a difference in Windows 7! The WEI went from a measly 4.9 to 7.0 out of a possible 7.9. I had to check the manufacturers CPU support list to find that right CPU. I thought I was limited to dual-cores until I saw support for the 9750 Agena quad-core.
