Summary: Extremely pleased with this processor . changed out a dual core 2.0Ghz for this and the performance boost is great. Windows experience index for the processor rose from 4.0 to 6.9. Not bad for an old system that works fine as a home theater PC..
Summary: Bought as a go-between for two different computers. Highest it says work in one, pretty good one for other. Using it, o boot up, and load windows system, till I get 6 core CPU. It loaded up great. It was good deal, for the total amount, ghz = core * ghz.
Summary: I bought this used ship as the top of system chip for my six-year old system. It's currently performing wonderfully. Thanks for the great economical price and improved performance over the stock chip.
Summary: This is hi-end for older boards, I would suggest it will not be as stable as newer processors, you should also upgrade your operating system to windows 7 with sp1 to help stabilize your system. Also max out your ram and get a decent graphics card then you'll have a good set up.
Summary: This little jewel is lightning fast! I replaced a Sempron single core processor with this and there is no comparison! This is by far the best purchase I've ever made on ebay! I couldn't be happier!
Summary: I needed a cost effective upgrade for my aging PC. I built this machine around 4 years ago. It was based on AMD's AM2 Platform. I bought their fastest Chip avaiable at that time (AMD Athlon 6000 X2). This was an awesome chip. Did everything I needed it to do. (along with SLI nVidia graphics cards and 4gb of ram). Fast forward 4 years and that same chip isn't vary fast anymore. I have read about the AM2 boards supporting AM2+ Quad core chips with a simple BIOS flash.
Summary: What more could you ask for? You can bring your computer into the next gen for under $60.00. Plus, you can OC this thing w/o a problem. This thing sped up my games and overall comp considerably.
Summary: DOA. Chip would not work. Tried in several motherboards. Would not initiate post. The chip could not have been pulled from a working system or have been tested.DOA. Chip would not work.
