  • Summary: Product arrived from vendor in great condition! Thanks for that! Little scary ordering used processors but. This was good. Changed a 9100e processor to this newer 9500. Works in the socket, boards fine but expected more performance but didn't get much.

Runs circles around my dual core Athlon

Anonymous, Newegg
21 April 2011
  • Summary: My motherboard don't have the BIOS update installed to fix the bug since my motherboard is being a pain to update the BIOS but so far no sign of any BSOD errors or any problems with the computer being unstable One thing my friend has a Intel dual core running at 2.93GHz per core with 3MB cache and...
  • Pros: Just bought this CPU new online for $80US to replace my older Althlon 64 X2 3800+ 2GHz and this bad boy runs alot better then my older dual core could ever dream of running. Did I say fast? 14 minutes to install Windows 7 64 bit WOW Don't listen to the people that say this CPU is no good cause I ...
  • Cons: Only con has nothing to do with this CPU there are still alot of software that don't run the best on anything higher then a dual core CPU Will update the cons if I run into any problems.

Cheap Quad and overclockable with some work...

Tekmage1, Amazon
22 February 2009
  • Summary: As an AMD fanboy, I was excited to be one of the first to pick up a Phenom 9500. Paired this with an MSI K9A2 cf-f motherboard, 500W Ultra power supply, 4 gigs of corsair 800 mhz memory, an XFX 8600GT XXX, under Vista 32. After a bois update on the mobo, the Phenom was running stable at 2.2Ghz.

  • Summary: well worth the money awsome better qualty graphics then Athlons had. it does get hot up to 50c
  • Pros: awsome better performance then any athlon x2 CPU made for games when you click in AMD overdrive early in the year version you get 40 percent increase in performance that completey wipes the floor with the 5200+ f3 version I had before. Just click on green button it turns yellow in AMD OVERDRIVE o...
  • Cons: none just make sure you have old version of OVERDive new version does not increase performance of overdrive.

Love It

Anonymous, Newegg
30 September 2008
  • Summary: During the winter I use a dryer duct to bring in cold air from outside and this thing takes a 12.5% OC at 22C. May try liquid cooling this winter with the radiator outside.
  • Pros: Handles everything I throw at it, and then some. Combined with 3 gigs Corsair DDR2 800 RAM and Asus M2N-E AM2 mobo (BIOS V. 1304), this is a multitasker's dream. Will take a 10% overclock (2420) at sustained full load without a hitch, rock solid. Ran Vista's performance assessment, did not pass 6...
  • Cons: Runs in the 45C to 58C range on stock cooler, put in aftermarket 120mm HSF and temps drop to 35C to 45C.
