Super speedy CPU

Erich Maria Remarque, Amazon
26 July 2014
  • Summary: Here I am in July 2014, still able to play the very latest games with zero slowdowns using this thing. Too bad that the latest AMD CPUs are only barely faster than this legendary piece of computing history. The 6 real cores are highly optimized, can be easily overclocked (I've overclocked mine slightly to 3.6 GHz, but 4.0+ speeds are easily achievable), and stay cool. I've paired it with a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus cooler and this thing just keeps on going.

Good-if expensive-upgrade for AM2+/3 motherboards which won't take FX CPUs.

somenerdcalledpeter, Ebay
10 February 2014
  • Summary: This is a reasonably fast CPU which isn't afraid of a few threads. I bought one to upgrade an AM2+ motherboard which wouldn't support more modern FX-series CPUs, rather than doing a full rebuild. This CPU made a very noticeable difference in performance over my slightly overclocked Phenom 8750. For the prices these are going for (often $200+ around the time of this writing), it would be better to buy a new Vishera CPU instead if your motherboard supports it.

Great Processor

Thestollman "Travis Stoll", Amazon
30 December 2013
  • Summary: I'm a big gamer, but use AMD over Intel. Would recommend to anyone that has at least minor experience in overclocking. There are a lot of different setups that you can use to optimize your system for gaming. Still not a bad buy for those inexperienced with overclocking and looking for a cheaper route than Intel or who already have an AMD setup that want to upgrade.

indian1959, Ebay
10 December 2013
  • Summary: This was what I was looking for, a processor with 6 cores for a great gaming. works great, and is the fastest cpu I have ever got. All programs runs in seconds instead of minutes. And best of all it arrived 2 days early for a build that was waiting on it. And im using it to type in this review.

Good fast service

James Mains, Amazon
15 November 2013
  • Summary: Product shipped very fast. Processor is exactly what I bought. Didn't overclock as high as I was hoping, but not the seller's fault. This allowed me to alleviate the bottlenecking in my system. Absolutely love it.

Well woth the money if you pick one for less then 150.00

ewind63, Ebay
22 September 2013
  • Summary: This very good processor for the price. I own both a AMD Phenom II x6 1090T and Intel i5 650. Phenom II paired with gigabyte 990FX UHD3 ver3. it hold's it own. Overclocked to 3.9GHz on stock voltage. runs around 38 - 40c idle on load 48 - 51c Prime 95 100% load. It plays games well. With that said the Intel i5 650 that set on EVGA P55 FTW 200 motherboard (overclocked) at 4GHz runs cooler and it a little bit stronger.

Fast, overclockable beast of a processor!

3bobbob, Ebay
9 January 2013
  • Summary: This is a very fast processor, and is perfect for overclocking! With the stock heatsink, I had the processor clocked at 4ghz easily and it was stable. Very good buy. As efficient (in my opinion) as the newer AMD FX 8000 series.
