Summary: Though this is an older chip, if you're in the market for one, it is a very good one. This is a hex (6) core chip, which works very well with motherboards which can use it (AM2). Summary: I put this in a Gateway DX Series DX4320-02e with stock mother board and its working great with not problems or overheating. This was just what I needed to run Plex smoothly with multiple trans-coding clients. 6-cores is the way to go for plex!! Best purchase all year!!!

Summary: I have had this processor for over 2 years now and I haven't had any problems with it. I use it for a lot of high end gaming so its not like its had a cake walk either. The only down side to this processor is the fan that comes with it; it's a little on the loud side by default.
