Yes it's in it's late life but still a great CPU even for today's tasks

Summary: I upgraded from a phenom 8450 to this , and it was worth every penny , why buy a new system now when all I had to do is get a cpu upgrade save the money to build later and play games in next generation quality for a year or two with what I have now , it's is stepping 3 non BE that uses only 95w , but it needs good cooling , the stock fan got it to 60 after 6 hrs of prime95 , if you have an am2+ with memory and a good gpu get this and your good to go for some time
Obviously outdated but still going strong after years of use.

Summary: I originally bought this in November of 2011 and it was my introduction to quad core CPU's, The price even then was absolutely amazing for the performance received, and still doesn't skip a beat with new games, although if you plan on doing video encoding and/or rendering I'd steer clear and check out a new Intel CPU as even some of the more modestly priced intel CPU's crush these.
Summary: great chipset upgraded from an Athlon II x3 95w cpu. using a stock cooler that was installed in the amd 3 core, cheap aluminum block so i blame that for most heat dissipation issues. processor is far up to par for mostly any old or modern PC games. a bit slow for running stuff like Dolphin emulator though. at stock 3.2Ghz its quite fast. looking forward to soon overclocking to 4Ghz on water cooling.
Summary: This CPU is fantabulous. I couldn't have asked for a better CPU when comparing quality, power, and price. This CPU has managed to play everything up to Battlefield 4 so far with little to no issues, and I assume it will continue to do so for many years (provided I take care of it).
Summary: This is an awesome CPU, at the time ( 2 years ago) I would have recommended it to anyone as I still have it and it still works, I put it in my wife's PC and it is powerful. Only reason I wont recommend it now, is the newer ones are out there for the same price this one is now $100-120. You can actually get a 6-8 core one now. I think this one has passed it's prime, and probably should have a price drop.
Summary: This is a very good CPU for someone on a low budget gaming build. You can get this CPU and pair it with a cheap GPU and get better performance than most APUs for the price. I have purchased this CPU twice and highly recommend it to anyone with a low budget.
