Summary: I upgraded an old box from a single AMD Sargas core to the Phenom X4. the difference was amazing; speed, color. Now I need to buy a new video card for my pc which I had thought about salvaging.
Summary: I can't be more pleased with the performance/speed that this CPU has provided. Not wanting to spend big $$$ on a newer computer, I upgraded my Asus M2N68AM SE2 board with this (new drive, more memory and Win 7 64bit and Bios Flash upgrade) and the computer has gained new life - fast, reliable and a joy to 3-D gaming again.
More power & Less power consumption -- Do more with the Phenom II Quad Core
6 December 2011
Summary: The Phenom II X4 810 (2.6GHz X4) is a great AM3 Quad core that features 4 cores operating at up to 2.60GHz per core through a 4000MHz Bus Speed (4000MT/s out of 5200MT/s), a 2Mb L2, 4Mb L3 Cache buffer, and has low power consumption features (95W) for an AM2+/AM3 platform motherboard. From a price for performance ratio standpoint, AMD still provides superior performance based on how much money you'll have to pay out (for the performance you'll receive).
Summary: Average, powerfull, compatible with AM2+ mainboards... what can i say? An excelent choice for those who want to upgrade an "old" machine. This processor, combined with a medium-high performance video card allows you to play the ultimate games, increase the general speed of the PC, and makes your general PC experience in something full enjoyable.
Summary: With the number of different quad-core processors on the market, it is often difficult to decide which one suits you, especially when price is a consideration. The AMD Phenom II X4 810 is not just a good bang-for-the-buck, but it is a top-notch processor, regardless of price. I have been using this CPU for about one month and I love it. I have yet to run all four cores at full capacity.
