Dependable

Jordon B., Newegg
7 October 2014
  • Pros: I've been running one of these for 5 years OC'ed to 3.6ghz on the stock cooler and never have had an ounce of trouble. I don't have a mobo that allows unlocking but I've been happy with it as is. It's a great chip.
  • Cons: None.

  • Summary: This is an amazing chip. Some of the chips can be unlocked to add an extra core, mine wasnt one of them. Chip is still as fast today as it was when I installed it. This chip has handled everything I have thrown at it.

Terrific

Spread the word, Amazon
12 March 2014
  • Summary: I bought this processor used a couple of years ago. The seller did a great job with it and included a stock cooler which came in handy. He thoughtfully cleaned off all the thermal pasted from the heat sink. This processor has exceeded all my expectations.

SGBaker, Amazon
6 November 2013
  • Summary: I purchased this item and it arrived on schedule. The instructions provided in the box were easy to follow and the Fan/Heatsink were ready to go out of the box. I had no trouble installing it into my motherboard and it worked just great when I fired up the PC.

  • Summary: I'd Still Buy Another Just To Compliment The First I Have.
  • Pros: Excellent Upgrade for My Old Compaq Presario CQ5602F.
  • Cons: Could Use the Quad Core Version, Without Unlocking, The Compaq Presario CQ5602F Does Offer That Feature.

Unlocked to 4 cores, perfectly stable. 8Gb + SSD = decent PC

Sebastien N., Newegg
17 October 2013
  • Summary: I can't believe it was so easy as flipping a switch on my motherboard to unlock the third and fourth core. And after some stress tests, I was pleasantly surprised to see it running as stable as any other CPU. So getting a fully working Phenom II x4 for this price is pretty hard to beat.
  • Pros: I was tempted on buying an unlocakble Phenom II X2 on an auction site, but when I saw that these were in stock at Newegg, and for a better price, I jumped on the occasion. Very stable, unlocked as a Phenom II X4 B50 running at around 3.3Ghz... For the price, this is hard to beat. Coupled with 8Gb...
  • Cons: Stock fan is loud when running a full capacity. Not a problem at lower RPMs, but might be annoying for those running more CPU-intensive applications. But then again, had the same problem with the stock fan on my Phenom II x6 1090T and another Phenom II too, so this seems to be a common issue for ...
