Summary: For some reason when the processor was delivered it didn't come with a heat sink so I used my old cooler master hyper 212 cpu cooler. This is over kill for what I use the processor for (bookkeeping) but I suppose if I want better performance I can always over clock it. All in all it's a good low end cpu and I would recommend it for basic computing.
Summary: This is an amazing chip. Some of the chips can be unlocked to add an extra core, mine wasnt one of them. Chip is still as fast today as it was when I installed it. This chip has handled everything I have thrown at it. Audio and video editing, photoshop, and even CAD work have been no problem for this chip.
Summary: I bought this processor used a couple of years ago. The seller did a great job with it and included a stock cooler which came in handy. He thoughtfully cleaned off all the thermal pasted from the heat sink. This processor has exceeded all my expectations. The best thing about it is that it was unlocked by my motherboard and has four fully functioning cores. I can't say enough good stuff about it.
Summary: I have a Gigabyte, GA-890GPA-UD3H motherboard and have tried multiple AMD processors with it. A phenom II X4 955 black edition, two of those and this 550 cpu. All three ran great and then just died. I tried a zalmon cnps9900 cooling fan, I like it btw. but did not help in the end. I do not know why they failed, it may be in the way I set up the bios or somthing in the motherboard, or it could just be AMD. I don't know.
Summary: I purchased this item and it arrived on schedule. The instructions provided in the box were easy to follow and the Fan/Heatsink were ready to go out of the box. I had no trouble installing it into my motherboard and it worked just great when I fired up the PC. Great product and I would recommend highly.
Summary: I was hoping to unlock the other two cores on the processor to make it a X4 but they were bad so I had to keep it in X2 mode. It only takes mild nerd level and youtube to figure out how to unlock the other cores. Other than that it has worked well for the C.O.D games so far. I also overclocked it to a 3.3ghz and no issues.
Summary: This one was the best buy at the time, considering its price and performances (and power consumption too). It served me so well, even if I was able to unlock only 3 cores with an Asus motherboard, but it depends on luck only, as these processors are downgraded 4-cores cpu for a reason... Mind that you have to buy a bigger cpu cooler/heat sink before any overclocking.
