Great value server processor

David P., Newegg
10 August 2009
  • Summary: I purchased a dual socket supermicro barebone server that supports this processor. Loaded with 64GB of ram, running redhat, this server performs excellent for our 3D electromagnetic simulations.
  • Pros: Great price to performance. Excellent for software applications that take advantage of multicores. Run's cool even in a 1U server.
  • Cons: none in regards to our needs.
