Summary: This Has Been Used Now For One Year! The AMD FX 4100 Processors ROCK. This Was A Great Improvement Over The 1-Core That My HP Came With. Easy To Install No Searching For New Hardware, Just Plug In And Go,No Problems At All.Thinking About It, DON'T Just Get It, Check You're Power Supply To Be Sure It's Enough For This CPU.
Summary: Not much to say about this one. It was easy to install, and with the thermal paste already on the heat sink, it's basically fool proof. I'm using it in an office computer, so I haven't really had a chance to test its performance, but it works great in multitasking situations. Overall, it suits my needs and I would definitely recommend the whole line of amd FX processors. All three I've installed have functioned beautifully.
Summary: Powerful, overclocked this bad boy to 4.5ghz. Completely stable, excellent increase over my OC'd x4 620 athalon. FPS went from 18-25 in planetside 2 to 70 FPS. My friend has an ivy bridge i5 hitting 80 FPS for $230...LOL.You can't beat it for the price!
Summary: Was wondering how this would hold up, I love it, have ran it as high as 4.4ghz and kept cool and stable, and right out of the box the ability of the turbo key to jump to 4.1ghz is great. This benchmarked out between an i5 and an i7...all with an AMD price and even better with an eBay price. I am a computer tech, and I recommend this for anyone that would rather put their money into better video cards, a better motherboard, or better memory rather then in Intel's pocket.
Summary: It was pretty cheap here on ebay so....anywho this cpu is a solid performer if your on a low budget but wants something for gaming this is the cpu you should be snipping, yes i know its a bulldozer but many nub don't know, that this thing have 12mb of cache multitasking is a dream and yes if you oc this cpu it will out performs the the phenoms II x4 and gets better FPS too, oh and the new memory controller ain't too bad either win and win if you get this under $70.
